skulls & bones

A while back we went with the apprenticeship to Ithaca College to see a collection of mammal skulls and learn about mammal dentition.
Is it hippsodont or selenodont?

Big eyes, sharp teeth.
Tim holds the mystery.

An array of bones
Comparing tooth wear in two racoons.

Comparing saggital crest and sutures in the same two raccoon skulls.

This trip confirmed to me that I am a nerd for this stuff - I loved it, and couldn't stop talking about it, even to those uninterested. So here, I am posting probably more pictures than anyone cares to see.
Oh well!

I, for one, have only admiration for your nerdy-ness and the amount of information you've packed into YOUR skull about plants and animals and the world we live in.
